school magazine analysis

Heading = They have used a lower case m as opposed to a upper case m maybe on purpose? Because it’s a school magazine they haven’t stuck to the correct grammar so it appeals to younger students it looks more informal.
Picture= They have a picture of student smiling shows that she is clearly happy about her gcse results which is why they have written that subheading right next to her picture.  This appeals to parents who want to read this because it makes the school look good. they have also got the picture on the side so the background of the magazine stands out just as much.
Text= casual text they haven’t made it to formal they have used informal writing to attract students as well as parents. they have written the words "teenage stress" in informal type of text and they have made it yellow so it stands out to teenagers and younger children.
Colour= They have used quite bright colours they have had the picture taken on a summer days. they have used pink and blue to appeal to both boys and girls. thye have also done this so they could use any colour font and it would stand out, instead of using a dark colour and only using one colour for the text.
for any important information they have written it on little banners going acroos the page for example in the top right corner they have written "free 10 page healthy cooking guide" this stands out to most people including parents because they want their kids eating healthy but it also standfs out to some teenagers who want to start staying fit and eating healthy.

They have used the colour theme blue and white, they have used “posh” formal writing this is shows that this is a higher up school an academy therefore they are trying to attract more higher up people to come to the academy.
They have used a picture of the student to basically show what the school represents good, smiling happy children. She’s in the centre of the page to grab attention.
They have used all upper case letters for the heading beneath the picture because that’s what they want the reader to mainly focus on. The text they have used is bold
they have got the word free in the top right corner in black and its bold so it stands out and grabs people attention. they have chosen a light background so they could use any colour font and it will stand out so everything written on the front cover stands out.
They have also got lots of question written on the front of the magazine as subheadings so they want the people looking at it to pick it up and actually read whats in the magazine to find the answers.
They have also underlined the heading and the word "free" because they want it to stand out.
everything apart from the heading is written in uppercase so it stands out and the subheadings are blue, black and white but they have kept the heading light blue so it stands out because it is different to the rest of of the magazine.

Plain simple colours, picture of a small kid on a summers day which is why there is a subheading saying “hats off to the summer”.
They have used big bold heading to attract the reader they have used the  words independent school parent, this might appeal to single parents even though that’s not what the heading might be trying to do.
They have taken up quite a lot of the space with the heading and put the main focus on the word "parent" this attracts parents which is the main point of the magazine.
the things they want people to focus on the have written in upper case this also makes people want to buy it because they have included subheadings such as " win a luxury family holiday to tuscany" this influences people to buy the magazine.
they have also "written hats off to the summer
